Back in February 2024, we announced our plans to move our HQ from London to Manchester. Now that we’ve settled into our new space, we can give you the lowdown on all things CloudGuard HQ.
Manchester has quickly become a major concentration of UK&I cyber talent, so moving our main office here was a no-brainer. Located on Deansgate in Central Manchester, our new base provides a convenient and inspiring location to attract undergraduates and aspiring apprenticeship talent into our business.
We are and will always be a remote-first business, but we recognise that everyone has different needs. So, we must offer flexible options to support the productivity and engagement of our Guardians.
The new office space is designed to accommodate various working styles, providing everything from quiet zones for focused work to collaborative areas for team projects.
This flexibility ensures that our Guardians can choose the environment that best suits their needs, whether they’re working remotely or in the office.

Moving into just any office space wasn’t an option for us. Our CEO, Matt Lovell, dedicated significant effort to finding an office location with exceptional amenities to support our team’s well-being and productivity.
Matt is striving to create an environment that balances work efficiency with comfort and community. Cubo, located in the newly reimagined Lincoln Square peace garden, quickly emerged his our top choice.
Not only is the new space conveniently located, reducing commute times for everyone whilst enabling everyone to use the excellent public transport across Manchester, as we are a public transport first business, but it also boasts an amazing on-site gym with both cardio and weight equipment, a barista, a spin room, and plenty of breakout areas. Health and Well being first!
And yes, there’s also prosecco and beer on tap!
The space also includes:
- Bike storge
- Car charging stations
- Sky terrace
- 24/7 building access
- Networking and social events
- Dog friendly (we love furry friends!)
Remote working practices and the pandemic have heightened the importance of leaders supporting their team’s diverse needs. Investing in a high-quality office space ensures that our team has a place to thrive when they choose to come in.
We also organise regular department meetups to ensue teams have the chance to socialise and collaborate.
Our Automation Leader, Yakub Desai, who works remotely but visits HQ for engineering days, shared his thoughts on the new office environment:
“There’s a certain buzz you feel when innovating together. Communication is easier and richer.”
Future growth plans
Since the company’s launch, CloudGuard has experienced rapid growth and Matt is committed to maintaining this momentum.
With more businesses introducing stricter in-office requirements, remote-first companies like CloudGuard have a unique advantage in attracting top talent.
Looking ahead, he has ambitious plans to expand our team significantly. His goal is to increase headcount to 75 talented individuals over the next two to three years.
This expansion includes plans to have 20-25 members working in the Manchester area, fostering a strong local presence while continuing to embrace the flexibility of remote work.
That’s all for now
Now that we’re settled in, one of Matt’s first tasks is to add more plants to our office space.
Let us know what you think of CloudGuard HQ! We’re excited about our new home and the opportunities it brings for our team and the local community.
